About me

I’m a Tokyo-based freelance editor, journalist, and content creator, member of Italian Order of Journalists and Foreign Correspondents’ Club of Japan. As former Editor-in-Chief of, the global website of Italy’s foremost sustainability media, I have extensive experience working in a fast-paced newsroom. I hold an MPhil in Development Studies from the University of Cambridge and a BA in Politics from SOAS in London.

I write articles, produce videos and consult on multimedia editorial projects. I cover underreported stories from Japan, including about the indigenous Ainu, Fukushima’s agriculture, women’s unpaid work, and universal access.

I’m half Italian, half British, of Malaysian descent, I’ve lived in five countries and speak three languages (Italian, English and Spanish), and am learning Japanese. I love diversity in all its forms and am passionate about social and environmental issues. I’m a climber, outdoors-enthusiast, and avid traveller. I’m outgoing, independent, a hard worker, keen learner, and strong team player.
